Make points worth spending

The reward list is what customers look at when they decide whether the program is worth their attention. Keep one small reward within reach of a first order and one big enough to save for, and the balance keeps pulling people back. You set the point price of each, so you always know what a redemption costs you.

How rewards work

Your point price, your conditions

Every reward carries its own rules: what it costs in points, which products it covers, and what it can be combined with.

Fixed or flexible

Let customers spend what they have.

A fixed reward is a clear trade: 1,000 points for $10 off. A flexible one lets the customer choose how much of the balance to use, at a rate you set, between a minimum and a maximum you also set. Small balances get spent instead of sitting there, and nobody has to wait to feel the value.

From widget to checkout

Two clicks, and the discount is already there.

The customer picks a reward in the widget and the points come off the balance. A gift card arrives by email straight away. Every other reward waits for the cart and applies itself in the cart and at checkout, with no code to copy or type.

Changed their mind before buying? Cancelling the reward in the widget returns the points to the balance.

On your storefront

A reward list customers can browse

Every reward is listed with its point price, so customers can see what they can take now and what is worth waiting for. You control the wording, the description of each reward, and the colors.

Why the reward list matters

Rewards work on the numbers you already watch

Point prices and conditions are the levers. Set them against your own figures and the reward pays for itself.

Average order value

Put a minimum purchase on a reward, and the order grows to meet it.

Repeat purchase rate

An activated reward waits in the account until the next order, and it usually does not wait long.

Margin per order

You choose the eligible products, the point price, and what the reward can combine with.

Running your rewards

One list per audience, and one for your VIPs

Each reward belongs to one program. That is what lets your retail customers redeem free shipping while wholesale gets its own list, and the same five types work as perks in a VIP tier as well as in a points program.

A different catalog per audience

Rewards belong to a program, so B2C can redeem free shipping while B2B gets exclusive discounts. Up to 10 rewards in each.

Rewards for VIP tiers too

The same five types work as tier perks in a VIP program, one-time or permanent. Points and status can run side by side.

Safe by design

Every redemption creates a unique code that only works on that customer's order. Copying it somewhere else does nothing.

FAQ

Rewards questions

What customers can get, how they redeem it, and what you keep control of.

Get started
Alpha Loyalty has five reward types: an order discount, a product discount, free shipping, a gift card, or a free product. You can create several rewards of each type and keep up to 10 in one program, so a new customer has something close by and a regular has something worth saving for.
They open the loyalty widget, sign in, and click the reward they have enough points for. The points come off the balance and the reward is either delivered straight away, like a gift card sent by email, or applied to the cart when the order qualifies. The discount lands at checkout with nothing to type in.
Yes, with a flexible order discount. You set the ratio — 5 points for $1, for example — plus a minimum and a maximum per order, and the customer decides how much of the balance to use. A fixed reward works the other way: a set number of points for a set discount, like 1,000 points for $10 off.
Nothing is lost. An activated reward stays on the account and applies to any later order that meets its conditions. The customer can also cancel it from the loyalty widget, and the points go straight back to the balance.
Yes. Each reward has its own combination settings, so you decide whether it can be used together with shipping, product, or order discounts. You can also set a minimum purchase amount and limit which products the reward applies to.
Yes, through Shopify POS. The balance is the same one customers build online, and staff can apply the reward at the counter, so a program that starts on your website also works behind the till.
No. Each redemption creates a unique code tied to that customer's order, and it needs parameters the app adds itself. A copied code does not work anywhere else, so your rewards stay with the customers who earned them.
