Alpha Loyalty · Points program

A points program that brings customers back

Points give customers a reason to come back to you, not to the next shop selling the same thing. Reward orders, sign-ups, reviews and more. Customers choose the reward they want.

Earn 1 point for every $1 spent

Make every order lead to the next one

A points balance only has value in your store. Customers who have one come back to spend it, and they usually spend more than the reward is worth. That is a higher repeat purchase rate and a bigger average order, from customers you have already paid to acquire. Alpha Loyalty keeps the whole loop visible on your storefront, so customers always know what the next order is worth.

Earning rules

Points that move the products you choose

Reward the whole catalog evenly, or give more points to the products you most want to sell.

Per product and collection

Give high-margin products more points.

Set a flat number of points per order, or points for every dollar spent. Then add rules for the products that deserve more: a new line, a slow-moving size, the range with the best margin. Customers follow the points, so demand moves without a price cut.

Points customers can always see

A balance nobody sees is a balance nobody spends. Alpha Loyalty puts points, ways to earn and rewards right where customers shop, in your colors and your wording — starting on the product page, before anything is even in the cart.

  • On product pages, showing how many points this item will earn
  • In the loyalty widget, one click away on every page
  • On a dedicated loyalty page you create in Alpha Loyalty and add to your menu
  • In the cart and the cart drawer, showing the points this order will earn
  • In customer accounts, where the balance sits on the profile and order pages

Give customers a reason to come back

Set your earning rules, pick the rewards, and let every order build toward the next one.

Why stores run points

Points work on the numbers you already watch

Set the earning rate and the reward thresholds against your own figures, and the program pushes each of these up.

Average order value

Set a reward just above the usual basket, and customers add one more item to reach it.

Repeat purchase rate

A points balance is worth nothing anywhere else, so it brings customers back to you.

Owned marketing channels

Points for sign-ups, follows and reviews grow your email list and social proof, with no extra ad spend.

Running the program

One program per audience, online and in store

Points are only half the work. The rest is knowing who earns what, where they earn it, and what it brings you — and pairing points with VIP tiers when you want status on top of rewards.

Different rules for different customers

Wholesale and retail each get their own program, running side by side. Customer tags decide who joins which, so every group earns at a rate that fits your margins.

Points in your physical store

With Shopify POS, in-store purchases earn points and rewards are redeemed at the counter. One balance, both channels.

See what the program is doing

Every point earned and reward redeemed is logged, per customer. You see which earning rules people actually use, and change the ones they ignore.

FAQ

Points program questions

How earning, redeeming, and targeting work in Alpha Loyalty.

Get started
In Alpha Loyalty you switch on the earning rules you want and set what each one is worth. Orders are the main one: award a fixed number of points per order, or points per dollar spent. On top of that you can reward a welcome bonus, birthdays, newsletter sign-ups, social actions, and product reviews. Points land in the customer's balance automatically.
Yes. Earning rules can target specific products or collections, each with its own point value, and you can exclude anything you would rather not reward. It is a quiet way to push demand toward high-margin lines or a seasonal campaign without cutting the price.
Five reward types: an order discount, a product discount, a gift card, free shipping, or a free product. Offer several at once — up to 10 per program — so there is something within reach for a new customer and something worth saving for. Customers redeem from the loyalty widget and the discount is applied at checkout.
You decide: when the order is created, when it is paid, or when it is fulfilled. You also choose whether taxes, shipping, and discounts count toward the points, and whether points are removed again if the order is cancelled or refunded. Every change is written to the customer's points history, so the balance always matches reality.
Yes, through Shopify POS. An earning rule can apply to all sales channels or only to the ones you pick, so a rule can cover the online store, the point of sale, or both. Customers keep one balance wherever they buy, and staff can apply rewards at the counter.
Yes. A "Potential points" block sits on the product page and shows what this item is worth in points, for signed-in customers and for guests. You write the wording and pick the colors, and on most themes you drag the block wherever you want it on the page. It gives shoppers a reason to add the item while they are still deciding.
Judge.me, Yotpo, Loox, Reviews.io, Ali Reviews and Junip, connected through a ready-made Shopify Flow template. Set the "Leave a review" rule in Alpha Loyalty, install the template for your review app, and points are added automatically when a review comes in. If your review app is not on the list, write to us and we will look at it.
Only if you want them to, and expiry is based on inactivity rather than a calendar date. Set a period — 30 days, six months, whatever fits — and points expire when a customer neither earns nor redeems within it. Any activity restarts the countdown, so active customers never lose anything, and customers see the exact date in the widget.
Yes. Alpha Loyalty is built around running several programs at once — one per audience, with its own earning rules and rewards. Customer tags decide who joins which program, and you can keep draft programs ready to launch the moment you need them.
